Items for Checkout:
The checkout period for items borrowed from the McKenzie County Public Library is two weeks; two renewals are available. Materials available for checkout include, but are not limited to:

Books on a variety of subjects for all reading levels

Media, such as films and audio books
Request for Purchase and Interlibrary Loan:
The McKenzie County Public Library strives to cultivate a diverse collection of materials; however, if the Library does not have an item in the collection it can be recommended for purchase by filling out a brief form at the Circulation Desk. Filling out a Recommendation for Purchase Form does not guarantee the item will be added to the collection.
If a patron would not like to recommend the item for purchase by the Library or if the item is not available for purchase, it can be requested via Interlibrary Loan. Interlibrary Loan is a mutual agreement among libraries in North Dakota and throughout the United States to share the resources of the library. Through Interlibrary Loan, the McKenzie County Public Library is able to borrow materials that are not in its collection from other libraries. Interlibrary Loan enhances the Library's ability to provide patrons with needed and wanted Library items.
